The Broadway musical: 'Idol: The Musical' which was based on Clay Aiken's fan base closed after the first show. The producer of the show sent the following email message:

"Todd Ellis, the producer of 'IDOL:The Musical' has chosen to close the show due to a lack of advance ticket sales, a lack of positive feedback from audience members and critics, and a lack of sustainable financial resources."

I guess Clay Aiken's strong fan base is not that strong after all. Or maybe Clay lost some fans after they watched this video.
