Reuters - This is the best potential pairing since news that Chris Rock might launch a joint comedy tour with Dave Chappelle: Rock is writing a script for a romantic comedy he hopes will star him and "Bridesmaids" Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy.

The celebrity P.I. who was famously convicted on scores of wiretapping and conspiracy counts in 2008 has filed for divorce from his wife ... from inside prison.

Anthony Pellicano's lawyer filed the documents last week -- citing irreconcilable differences.

Anthony was hired by numerous Hollywood big wigs for his sleuthing services -- including Chris Rock, former MGM head Kirk Kerkorian, Paramount honcho Brad Grey, former Disney head Michael Ovitz, and Universal head Ron Meyer.

Pellicano was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison in Texas in 2008.

Anthony and his wife, Kat, were a couple for more than 25 years. They have 3 daughters and one son.

Morgan's rant went down during a show in Nashville last week. Among his remarks, he said if his son ever came out to him, he "better talk to me like a man and not in a gay voice or I'll pull out a knife and stab that little n**ger to death."

Morgan has since apologized for the remarks, but Rock had Tracy's back on Friday when he tweeted, "I dont know about you, but I dont want to live in world where Tracy Morgan cant say foul inappropriate s**t."

But Rock got back online last night and explained that he hadn't heard everything Tracy had said, until now. He explained, "wow i get it that s**t wasn't called for and i don't support it at all. now can i please go to the tony awards without getting my ass kicked."
