Raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
Graduated from MIT in June 2000 with a degree in physics.
He got involved in acting because he was bored in elementary school.
A member of the class of 2006 at the Yale University School of Law. Along with two other students, he received the William K.S. Wang prize, which is awarded to the "student or students demonstrating superior performance in the introductory corporate law course." [2005]
Has two brothers, Ted (b. 1976) and Joe (b. 1983).
Nowadays, he prefers to be called "Charles," not "Charlie."
While at Yale Law, he was a member of the Federalist Society, an organization for politically conservative law students.
Was offered the role of John Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
After completing _Hook_ at the age of thirteen, Charlie made the decision to actively stop acting as he craved a normal life away from fame and Hollywood pressures.
