His character "Roger" from Pulp Fiction is referred to as "Flock of Seagulls" because of his angular haircut that was the trademark of the 80s New Wave Synth Pop band, Flock of Seagulls, best known (after their haircuts) for their hit "I Ran (So Far Away)".
