Brian Glover was born in Barnsley, Yorkshire and used to be a professional wrestler going by the name of "Leon Arras the Man From Paris". He also provides one of the voices for the animated "Tetley Tea" TV adverts.


The actor in question frequently fought in wrestling bouts in Barnsley in the early 1960s. He was a schoolmaster before turning to acting. Started his wrestling career as Erik Tanberg, the blond from Sweden, until he took up the name of an absentee wrestler and became Leon Arras, the man from Paris. He was the son of a wrester, Charlie Glover.
