Received a Tony Nomination for his performance in the 1989 Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd. Born at 12:44pm-PST Won the 1980 Drama Desk Award and a Tony nomination for his role of Juan Peron opposite Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin in the Broadway smash musical "Evita!". In the U.S. Army from 1969-1971 where he earned the Viet Service Medal and Bronze Star for Valor. Has twice received Tony nominations: in 1980 as Best Actor (Featured Role - Musical) for playing Juan Peron in "Evita," and, ten years later, in 1990, as Best Actor (Musical) for playing the title role in a revival of "Sweeney Todd." Won the 1980 Drama Desk Award for his role of Juan Peron opposite Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin in the Broadway musical "Evita!" Won an Obie Award in 1980/81 for his role in How I Got That Story Father of daughter, Olivia.
