Jennifer Aniston had put the word out that she was interested in a guest spot on her favourite show, the hit drama 24.   Producers had to turn her down in order to keep their credibility. 

Executive producer Joel Surnow says, "You can't put those people on (the show) because they're too recognizable. They'll take you (viewers) out of the reality."

"Those People" meaning really famous people.  Ben Stiller was also recently turned down for an appearance on the show.
