On the song "E-Pro" from the album "Guero" he gave a co-writing credit to the Beastie Boys, as the backing beat to the song came from the Beastie's "So What'cha Want". Although he was not required to give them a writing credit (he could have merely given the "contains a sample from" credit), he did so out of respect and friendship for that group. Six songs from Guero were featured on the hit teen drama The O.C. Has an album in the works. He said that this album was being produced before Guero.
