"It is with great sorrow to hear about the final outcome of the search for my old friend Andrew," Cameron tells "The Insider." "I hope everyone will be sensitive to the Koenigs and give the family some private time to reflect and to grieve the loss of their beloved son. At a time like this, we all are reminded of the briefness of life and the importance of being ready for our eternal destination. My prayers will continue to be with Andrew’s family." Meanwhile, Gold tells UsMagazine.com, "Today is a sad day. My heart is broken for Andrew's family. I have such great memories of Andrew and our time together on 'Growing Pains.'" Koenig's body was found Thursday in a Vancouver park. His parents said in a press conference later that day that their son had committed suicide. The Vancouver Police Department tells ET that there's no foul play suspected in Koenig's death and that the investigation has been turned over to the British Columbia Coroner's Service.

A body believed by police to be that of Andrew Koenig, the missing "Growing Pains" actor last seen in Vancouver on Feb. 14, has been discovered by state authorities. The Vancouver Police Department tells "The Insider" that they are investigating the discovery of the body, found today in Stanley Park around noon. A news conference is scheduled for tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern, and Koenig's parents -- "Star Trek" star Walter Koenig and his wife Judy -- will be present. The police search had been underway since Feb. 18. Koenig, 42, memorably played Mike Seaver's buddy "Boner" on the hit '80s sitcom "Growing Pains."

Walter Koenig and his wife Judy said at a press conference on Thursday evening that their son Andrew Koenig, the previously missing "Growing Pains" actor, had committed suicide. The "Star Trek" star's voice trembled with emotion as he shared the sad news about the loss of his 41-year-old son, whose body was discovered in Vancouver's Stanley Park on Thursday. Walter said that Andrew had close friends in the city who encouraged him to join them on another sweep of the park today. He said one of his son's friends found Andrew's body during their search. "We've already said what a great guy he was and a good human being … He was obviously in a lot of pain," the grieving father said of his son. Walter told "The Insider" earlier this week that his then-missing son had been "in a depressed state." At the press conference, he and Judy urged people with family members suffering from depression to acknowledge the possible signs: "Don't ignore it, don't rationalize it … extend a hand," Walter advised. Authorities had been searching for Andrew since Feb. 18. He'd last been seen in Vancouver on Feb. 14. Andrew memorably played Mike Seaver's friend "Boner" on the hit '80s sitcom "Growing Pains."
