Attended High School of Performing Arts in New York.
Along with Erick Avari, he is one of only two actors to appear in both Stargate (1994) and its spin-off series "Stargate SG-1" (1997). He played Skaara, the brother-in-law of Daniel Jackson, in both productions as well as the Goa'uld Klorel in the latter.
His ancestry is from Puerto Rico.
His first work was a Spanish-language commercial for boxed macaroni and cheese.
