Adam Alexi-Malle Biography
Came to the United States at age 8 from Siena, Italy. Attended Interlochen Arts Academy as violinist/pianist/ballet dancer. In addition to acting, he maintains an active career as classical violinist, pianist, singer and conductor. In 1989, awarded the Harriet Hale Wooley Scholarship in Paris, France for graduate study in violin at the Paris Conservatory. In Europe, he studied at the Moscow Conservatory in Russia and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Mr. Alexi-Malle returned to the US in 1995, acting in acclaimed theatrical productions On and Off Broadway : "Titanic", playing Officer Robert Hichens in the original cast of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical and Off-Broadway in the American premiere of the hugely successful New Group Theatre production of Mike Leigh's ("Secrets and Lies") "GOOSE-PIMPLES" in the role of Mohammad garnering Mr. Alexi-Malle unanimous critical praise and nominations as Best Featured Male Performance in both the 1998 Drama Desk Awards and the Outer Critics' Circle Awards. Mr. Alexi-Malle was invited to co-star in the Universal Pictures/Imagine Entertainment feature, "BOWFINGER", written by and starring Steve Martin with Eddie Murphy and directed by Frank Oz. He is actively creating and developing film, television and performance projects through his production company SIENA Films and the creation of the film repertory company, BLISTERING MUSES.
